Hi everyone, my name is Adam Cupito and I am a bird bander for the Bird
Conservancy of the Rockies. I will be operating 2 banding stations on the
Western Slope this Fall! Our current banding site is located at the Dallas
Creek Area of Ridgway State Park, and has just completed its first week. The
station was ran from Tuesday, September 4th to Saturday, September 8th, and
will be operated again from Monday, September 10th to Friday, September 14th.
The following species accounts represent the effort of 249 net hours at this
site. There were 148 birds banded of 36 species, as well as a recaptured
Mountain Chickadee banded in 2016! It has been busier than usual here, and
there has been an interesting range of species. Further updates to come!
