Hi everyone, I've just wrapped up the last week of my first banding site at 
the Dallas Creek Area of Ridgway State Park. The following species accounts 
represent the effort of 200 net hours at this site from Monday, September 
10th through today. This week there were 66 birds banded including 11 new 
species, which has been much slower compared to the previous week. However, 
the grand total for this site is 214 birds banded of 45 species, which is a 
record-breaking season! 

Gray Catbird: 8

Wilson’s Warbler: 6

MacGillivray’s Warbler: 5

American Robin: 5

Western Tanager: 4

Lincoln’s Sparrow: 4

Song Sparrow: 4

Green-tailed Towhee: 3

Warbling Vireo: 3

White-crowned Sparrow: 3

Yellow-breasted Chat: 2

Willow Flycatcher: 2

Virginia’s Warbler: 2

Red-shafted Flicker: 2

Audubon’s Warbler: 2

Spotted Towhee: 1

Black-throated Gray Warbler: 1

Red-naped Sapsucker: 1

Townsend’s Solitaire: 1 

Western Scrub-Jay: 1

Hermit Thrush: 1 

Orange-crowned Warbler: 1 

Mountain Chickadee: 1 

House Wren: 1 

Dusky Flycatcher: 1

Western Wood-pewee: 1

I will be starting my next banding site at Connected Lakes State Park in 
Grand Junction on Monday, and will be operating it for four weeks. It is 
open to the public, hope to see you there!
