COBirders -
I am forwarding this MARCH 29 report of a rarity from eBird, posted 4/2.
There are only a few previous CO records,
most of them near this date, all from the plains. This would be a high
altitude CO record, if confirmed.
Please report any trips there today to CObirds.

- Comments: "Hiding among a group of Mallards in a pond on the south side
of the Cub Lake hiking trail. It was the lone Tufted Duck, which I had
about 10 minutes to observe from 50 feet away and confirm based on our
Peterson's. Prominent yellow eyes, gray bill, short tuft, and black back
confirmed it was not a Scaup or Ring-Necked"
