My little *Swamp Sparrow* friend is still here Apr 10, appearing in my yard
after 6 pm tonight under light blizzard conditions. I had not seen it since
March 27, the longest break in its regular visits since it was first noted
Jan 22.

A *Wilson's Snipe* winnowed a few times over Massey Draw near my home on
April 5. There is a small cattail marsh there that a territorial snipe (the
same?) had favored from April to July in 2016. Yesterday April 9 it was
still there, giving chipping calls from the cattails or their margin. The
marsh was fairly dry the past two years, but there is some moisture now and
this storm's snow and rain will help make the marsh even more snipey, I
hope. No *Broad-tailed Hummer* at home yet, but one was nearby at South
Valley Park yesterday.
