May 1, Yesterday (4/30) due to intermittent rain showers and winds we were not able to band but today was our most productive day yet. Orange-crowned Warblers were plentiful and many more were seen unbanded around the station. Additionally, a Bullock's Oriole was hanging out today. We banded 25 birds of 10 species:
Ruby-crowned Kinglet : 2 American Redstart: 1 Orange-crowned Warbler: 10 House Wren: 1 Lincoln's Sparrow: 1 Hermit Thrush: 3 Swainson's Thrush: 2 Spotted Towhee: 2 American Robin 4 Canyon Towhee: 1 We are open 6 days a week (closed Sundays), weather permitting. This week we'll be opening nets around 6:20 and closing around 11:20. Come visit!
