May 1,

Yesterday (4/30) due to intermittent rain showers and winds we were not
able to band but today was our most productive day yet. Orange-crowned
Warblers were plentiful and many more were seen unbanded around the
station. Additionally, a Bullock's Oriole was hanging out today. We banded
25 birds of 10 species:

Ruby-crowned Kinglet : 2
American Redstart: 1
Orange-crowned Warbler: 10
House Wren: 1
Lincoln's Sparrow: 1
Hermit Thrush: 3
Swainson's Thrush: 2
Spotted Towhee: 2
American Robin 4
Canyon Towhee: 1

We are open 6 days a week (closed Sundays), weather permitting. This week
we'll be opening nets around 6:20 and closing around 11:20.
Come visit!
