There was a Palm warbler at North Shields ponds this afternoon 5pm along the
river where the trail leaves the river around the bigger lake. Also near the
same place was a brown thrasher. The local osprey was worrying a bald eagle
very loudly. Among many other birds were many yellow dumped warblers, one blue
gray gnatcatcher, a slew of chipping sparrows, and a great egret.
