Hey y'all, Lots of activity at Fountain Creek Regional Park this afternoon despite the snowy weather. Highlights were a male Blackpoll Warbler and Great Crested Flycatcher, both on the west side of the pond adjacent to the Nature Center. The Blackpoll was in the large cottonwoods near the small footbridge south of the pond, and the Great Crested was working the open field foraging from locoweed stalks. Was unable to get a shot of the Blackpoll but photographed the Great Crested. Tons of Yellow-rumped Warblers, several Virginia's and Orange-crowned Warblers, three Yellow Warblers, a Wilsons Warbler, and FOS Plumbeous Vireo, Warbling Vireos, and Western Wood-Pewee rounded out a very birdy few hours. Also had a Bobcat being scolded by the Great Horned Owls nesting just south of the Nature Center.
