This is the first Adams County record for this species. —-On May 10 a a Bell’s Vireo was reported at Barr Lake SP/Boat Ramp Area by Cathy Sheeter. —-On May 10 a PIPING PLOVER was reported at Clear Creek Valley Park, just south of the Tennyson parking lot. First reported on May 7 by Gabriel Wiltse. —-On May 10 a Ash-throated Flycatcher was reported at Barr Lake SP by Stephen Johnson. ARAPAHOE COUNTY: —-On May 9 a PIPING PLOVER was reported at Cherry Creek SP/Swim Beach. First reported On May 8 by Santiago Tabares. This appears to be the first e-bird recorded Arapahoe County sighting of this species. BENT COUNTY: —-On May 10 a Yellow-throated Warbler was reported at Melody Temple Grove. First reported on May 7 by Brandon Percival/Monday Birders. —-On May 10 a (f) Hooded Warbler was reported at Melody Temple Grove by Duane Nelson. Reported as “continuing”. BOULDER COUNTY: —-On May 12 a Blackpoll Warbler was reported at the Coal Creek Trail, adjacent to the Marriott Residence Inn, by John Grego. —-On May 11 a Golden-winged Warbler was reported at Univ of CO- Boulder/Varsity Pond Area. First reported on May 7 by Anna Gilmour. —-On May 11 Qa Sagebrush Sparrow was reported along S. 66th St near Marshall Mesa (Mayhoffer Trailhead. First reported on May 6 by by Aidan Coohill.. CROWLEY COUNTY: —-On May 9 a Male Hooded Warbler was reported Olney Springs SWA by Brandon Percival. DENVER COUNTY: —-On May 10 a Summer Tanager was reported at James Bible Park by George Ho. EL PASO: .—-On May 11 a Great Crested Flycatcher was reported at Fountain Creek Regional Park, just west of Rice Pond. First reported May 9 by Sam Fason. JEFFERSON COUNTY: —-On May 12 a PRAIRIE WARBLER was reported at Chatfield SP- Audubon Center & trails. First reported on May 11 by Sabrina Hepburn. —-On May 10 a NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was reported at Robert A Easton Regional Park. First reported on April 12 by David Suddjian. KIOWA COUNTY: —-On May 11 a ARCTIC TERN was reported at Neenoshe Reservoir by John Drummond. —-On May 11 a Lewis’s Woodpecker was reported in Kiowa County by Tony Leukering. According to e-bird this a appears to be a first Kiowa County record. LARIMER COUNTY: —-On May 12 a Gray-cheeked Thrush was reported at Watson Lake by David Wade. —-On May 12 a COMMON GALLINULE was reported from Wellington State Wildlife Area, first seen by John Bruening on April 29. This rarity was at a pond north of Larimer CR 60 in the Schware Unit. (Note that this is not Morris Reservoir, which is on the south side of 60). —-On May 10 a Golden-crowned Sparrow was reported at Riverbend Ponds SWA frequenting the rabbit brush and dirt path at NE corner of the most NE pond. First reported on April 25 by Lori Zabel. —-On May 8 a Philadelphia Warbler was reported at North Shield Ponds in Ft. Collins by Rachel Hopper. LOGAN COUNTY: —-ON May 12 a EASTERN TOWHEE was reported at Tamarack SWA (south entrance). First reported on May 11 by Cheryl Teuton. PROWERS COUNTY: —-On May 10 a Worm-eating Warbler was reported at Lamar Community College (south end). First reported on May 9 by Jim Merritt. —-On May 10 a Yellow-throated Vireo was reported at Lamar Community College. First reported on May 6 by James McCall. PUEBLO COUNTY: —-On May 12 a Least Bittern was reported at Nepesta Road Marsh by Van Truan. —-On May 11 a Yellow-throated Warbler was reported at Roselawn Cemetery (singing in Pine at first entrance) by Evan Carlson. WASHINGTON COUNTY: —-On May 12 a probable SWAINSON’S WARBLER was reported at Last Chance Rest Area (on the porta-potty side; once in gate, straight down the hill in the thick currents) by Rachel Hopper.
