Another busy day at Chico Basin Ranch. This morning a school group came for
a field trip at the station, so I shut a couple of my nets to talk with
them about banding and the data I collect. We still managed to band 61
birds of 17 species:

MacGillivray's Warbler: 12
Dusky Flycatcher: 2
Yellow Warbler: 5
Warbling Vireo: 1
House Wren: 2
Ovenbird:2
Lincoln's Sparrow: 5
Hermit Thrush: 8
House Finch: 1
Swainson's Thrush: 7
Western Tanager: 5
"Gambel's" White-crowned Sparrow: 1
Spotted Towhee: 1
Bullock's Oriole: 6
Gray Catbird:1
Green-tailed Towhee: 1
Brown Thrasher: 1

We are open 6 days a week (closed Sundays), weather permitting. This week
we'll be opening nets around 6:10 and closing around 11:10.
Come visit!
