Hey COBirders,

Again, it was incredibly busy at opening today, about 6:15, at Clear Spring
Ranch, with 30 birds caught before 7 am, but the wind blew out the nets by
about 8:30. Even so, 45 birds banded today! A good arrival of warblers and a
few more sparrows, tanagers, buntings, and orioles.

Highlights banded today:
American Redstart, imm m
Willow Flycatcher, 3 ad
3 MacGillivrays Warblers, 2 m 1 f
7 Yellow Warblers, 4 m, 3 f
5 Yellow-breasted Chats, 4m. 1f
and several Chipping and Lincoln’s Sparrows - highest spring #’s ever for both
species.

Have a birdy weekend,
Steve Brown
