Although things picked up a bit today with 22 new birds and 4 recaptures,
diversity was low with only Orange-crowned Warblers, White-crowned
Sparrows, and a single Green-tailed Towhee showing up in the nets.
White-crowned Sparrows were the most abundant, with 22 out of 26 birds
being either Gambel's or Mountain White-crowned Sparrows.

Orange-crowned Warbler 3
Gambel's White-crowned Sparrow 14 (plus three that were banded in a
previous season)
Mountain White-crowned Sparrow 4
Green-tailed Towhee 1 (FOS)

Please feel free to stop by! We open our nets every weekday from about 7:30
to about 11:00, weather permitting. The earlier you arrive, the more
likely you are to see birds!
