All,

First of all, our sincere thanks to the 100+ of you who wrote to the SLB
regarding the future of Chico Basin Ranch. And to SeEtta Moss and John Malenich
who both spoke today.

The good news is that the SLB decided to hold the ranch in their portfolio
until 2034. The length of the lease is not set in stone, but other SLB ranches
now have mostly 10-year leases.

HOWEVER,the Commissioners have not yet determined whether they'll split the
ranch into three parcels or keep it as one. That is expected to be determined
at their next meeting on either Sept 9th or 10th, and that is critical.

In addition, they'll be determining whether public access, education and
bird-banding will be allowed.

Once the agenda is published, a week before the meeting, we'll be asking again
for your comments. One piece of data in our favor is that the expected
financial returns for the next lease period are virtually the same regardless
of whether there are three leases or one.

Again, we are grateful to you for your interest in the ranch, and your
overwhelming willingness to speak up.

Onward,

Linda Hodges
