Bob and I went up to Guanella Pass today (11/25/22) to try for Ptarmigan at
Guanella Pass and didn't see any, but we had a very nice consolation prize,
a flock of 24 Bohemian Waxwings. They were about 1.5 miles from the Mt
Bierstadt trailhead, in the upper meadow NE of the trail. They stayed in
the area feeding and flying around and putting on a stunning show for the
entire time we were there, at least 2 hours.
