Yaktrax were handy on some sections of the trail (if you find 1… it’s mine!). I walked the main Bierstadt Trail up to this point 39.593444, -105.695858 and then veered off trail to the left. There are lots of small willows to walk through and plenty of completely frozen pools and a frozen creek to cross. Some of the snow was knee deep, but the rest was fairly shallow. Good luck.
