Another nice day to be outside. However, the smoke still persists. I believe it is having an affect on the migrating birds especially when the want to descend at sunrise. It would be nice to have information from migration banding stations in NW Texas, SW New Mexico etc to see if the smoke may be not reducing the numbers of migratory birds stopping in their areas. Despite the smoke, we captured 17 species of birds with Blue Grosbeak female adding to our first of the season species list.
