An estimated 53,200 birds migrated over Rio Grande County last night
(BirdCast) so I ventured to the Del Norte Riverwalk to see if I could find
a few of them. It did not disappoint with a male Chestnut-sided warbler and
female Rose-breasted Grosbeak among all the other colorful birds. A Black
Phoebe was also seen nearby.

In the past week, A Common Loon at Stabilization SWA, White-winged Dove on
the Malm Trail, two different late Snow Geese (Russell Lakes and Sanchez)
and a Northern Waterthrush near Saguache.

Enjoy the migration while it is ON!
