Another slow end of season day, banding only 8 birds (plus caught another 9
birds that had already been caught this year). Of note was our first of
season (finally!) Western Wood-Pewee - our average per year is about 10,
and we normally catch the first around the 5th of May. Flycatchers of all
species have been in short supply this season.

Here are our 8 newbies for today:

Western Wood-Pewee 1
Yellow Warbler 4
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
Yellow-breasted Chat 1
Song Sparrow 1

Closed tomorrow (Monday), then open Tuesday and Wednesday. We will take
down the station after banding on Wednesday.
