The Colorado Rockies seem to find a new way to lose almost every day. For
those of you who are fond of baseball but find the Rockies hard to hang with, I
bring to your attention to a continuing homestand of the NOCO Owlz vs the Idaho
Falls Chukars in Windsor tonight, tomorrow and day after tomorrow (July
28-July30). The Owlz are a new minor league team loosely affiliated with MLB.

Before COBIRDS Moderator Suddjian shuts this down, here's some legitimate
information. The "Birds of the World Cornell" account for chukar says that
known predators of adults and chicks are sharp-shinned hawk, Cooper's hawk,
red-tailed hawk, prairie falcon, golden eagle and, yes, great horned owl. Not
sure if any of the Owlz are big owls but usually in baseball the first baseman,
catcher, starting pitchers, third baseman and DH can be big. Or if you can get
close to the dugout, maybe you could just see what the Merlin sound app says.
I recommend looking up, however, if you want to actually see the game.

IF we have any big owls, especially great horned types, I predict the Owlz win
these epic contests. Remember what it felt like to watch your baseball team
win?

Tickets prices are quite modest and Owlz home games are at the Future Legends
Complex in Windsor. For more information, check the NOCO Owlz website.
