----------------------------------------------------------- From: Z?n Message 7 in Discussion Hello Anil, Thats a rather good overview .. and i really appreciate your effort for the post. One thing i came across is this point. You had mentioned one of the Cons for sql server managed sessions as . A clustered SQL server as the State repository for true reliability. Why is that. ? -------Now something thing that i was just pondering over. -- If the currently the performance gain of aspstate service is not so much compared to sql managed session .. why did the team develop it. ? The system cannot be bought down for maintanance without a specified downtime. You cant cluster it. etc Are there plans for the ASP.NET team to enhance this service or will this die out with time.. I cannot in anway see an advantage cause enterprise apps will be deployed for a relaiabilty factor and only by the bigger players. So obviously the amount of solutions that would be deployed employing aspstate service will be meagre.. simply becaseu the SQL managed sessions are more reliable period. do correct me if im wrong. If this is the case why did they come up with an option like this. I just want to know a valid cause for because obviously the ASP team has put in quite a lot of resources to develop this kind of a feature. so why ?.. from a architect point of view. I guess each feature will have a target or an objective.. thats what i wanna know with this ... regards sajay ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/cochindotnet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
