Hi , Even though we are not using explicit threading with asp.net in the above
example, ASP.net pages are getting executed in a multithreaded environment or at least
asynchronous. ( So it is implicitly thereaded ). When using static variables in a
multithreaded environment , one should use some synchronization primitives to
maintain data integrity. public static void Increment()
{
// x++; Bad Interlocked.Increment(ref x); //Good.
}
