Most likely you're going to have to have him clipped and start all over again...My Delilah Mats easy too...seems if I look at her crosseyed, there's a mat...but I do have her groomed every 6-8 weeks..depending on how many mats your baby has, they may just have to close clip him, or if they are not too bad, they can leave some of the hair on him.. Delilah doesn't seem to mind the cold and being clipped, but Sampson, my lhasapoo does..even if they do just a trim, I still have to put a sweater on him, wear as Delilah just hates sweaters...she'll wear a doggie t-shirt if it's really cold though...

help!!! my 10 month old cockapoo has fur like a cotton ball and a
can't keep the mats out. i don't want to cut him short since we have
really cold weather now, but i may have to and just use a snowsuit.
i tried the spray "no more tangles" for dogs ( i don't remember the
real name) and it was useless. i've tried the combs with the blades
and the mats are too big. i've combed it wet and that doesn't work
either.
any suggestions to make his fur more silky, maybe kid's conditioner?
