I sure hope that you can get to the bottom of this soon. Ask your vet if there is a vet who might specialize in this area. Keep us posted on what you find out!

Mara again.. sorry that letter went out before I was
done.
I am actually writing to find out if anyone has
any experience with their cockapoo having allergies.
My older girl has been extremely itchy for several
months. She scratches at her head and neck
especially. The vet has prescribed
anti-inflammatories, which help temporarily but I
haven't been able to get to the root of the problem.
We have been assuming the problem is something she
eats. Her reaction is systemic: she seems to be warm
and pink all over, including inside her ears, which
makes the vet think it isn't something in the house
like a blanket (that would make some parts of her skin
worse than others). I have switched her from the lamb
and rice Hill's Science Diet to the vet prescription
Science Diet but the itching is still there.
I don't think the vet has all that much experience
with cockapoos, so I was hoping maybe someone out
there has had a similar problem and maybe found some
relief? If you have any suggestions, please let me
know!
Thanks so much, Mara and Txiki
