I never did like the shaking cans and squirt bottles I just think that
instills fear and nervousness in the dog. I think the vet is right they
are just playing but they have to be taught when enough is enough. What
does you hubby do differently with them than you do that they don't do that when
he is there? I do believe it is good that they play together but maybe try
letting them play but when they get to rowdy just stop them from doing that but
let them know it is o.k. to play just not run when they start running get to
them and lean over and point your finger and give them a very stearn (not
yelling) No then walk away and when they do it again do the same thing
again.
Just remember anytime you are working on changing a behavior it takes
patience and love and then more patience and more patience.
