Hi Group,
Here is an update on Charley.
I received a phone call this morning from our vet with
Charley's blood test results. EVERYTHING IS NORMAL.
They checked his red blood cells- they are maturing at
a normal rate, his tyroid is fine. He has slightly
elevated cholesterol, but its not even significant
enough to alter his diet. His liver levels are
slightly elevate, but still in the normal range. She
checked his body and he has no masses or bumps. She
checked his teeth and they are all normal. His joints
are all fine. She said that it is definately mental
and not a phase. She recommended continuing with the
behavioralist and if that doesn't work we could
discuss medication. (We are VERY wary of putting him
on any kind of doggy prozac). We just think we have
to be much stricter with him and increase discipline.
He's taking advantage of us! he thinks he's the boss
and of all of the members of my family, he is the most
submissive to the cat!
Thank you to everyone who expressed their concern over
Charley's well being. And special thanks to those of
you who e-mailed me privately.
Sincerely,
Julie
