You don't appear to have any run loop running in your code. Just creating and running a run loop at some point ought to clear up the threads left over by NSTask and NSURLWhatever.
I wouldn't worry too much about them, though, unless you're creating an insane amount (e.g. thousands) of tasks or requests.
