Since this app is a bit of a scheduler for the tasks it could be running for a while, so for my testing I implemented a while loop to keep it running.

        BOOL isRunning = YES;
        while(isRunning)
        {
                sleep(10);
        }

Thanks for the help!

Ok, so I have the NSURLRequest in my main method ( included snippet

to a NSRunLoop it will clean it's self up?

You don't appear to have any run loop running in your code. Just
creating and running a run loop at some point ought to clear up the
threads left over by NSTask and NSURLWhatever.

I wouldn't worry too much about them, though, unless you're creating
an insane amount (e.g. thousands) of tasks or requests.
