I hope you're not trying to duplicate the Windows table view with its lines indicating indentation depth. There are usability reasons why the Mac simply uses whitespace to indent its rows, and I wouldn't recommend adding lines to the indentation. The advantage of being able to count the lines is offset by the added clutter and by how busy lots of lines make your user interface.
