But if a PDF contains only vector graphics elements it has no native resolution so it should scale to any size reasonably well. Just don't put any bitmaps in there. Here's a simple example: http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/8696/screenshot20100627at094.png This was created as a vector graphic and scaled at display time. As you can see, it looks pretty good. Perhaps not as sharp as a pixel-perfect bitmap but good enough for me. The image is just the green bit (space was at a premium!). And in fact it's not as good as it could be because it goes via an intermediate bitmap for cross-platform reasons. Using the PDF direct might look a bit better still.
