On 10.9.1 (I don't have 10.6) I do see it with TextEdit:

Copy the text from this eMail into a TextEdit window
use Edit → Special Characters... to change 盧 back to CJK COMPATIBILITY 
IDEOGRAPH-F933
Select all
Set the font to Heiti SC Light
copy and paste into another rich TextEdit window
