Very cool. This is indeed good news.

I'll prepare a detailed description of the
symptoms/bugs/suggestions/issues-we-have next week and post it on both
lists to sparkle a discussion.

I really want XSLTC to remain in Apache, remain open source, remain in a
collaborative environment yet be fast, scalable and shipped with Cocoon.

Ok, let's move on.
