Ehm, don't know about you guys, but I feel this community rather appreciated if people decide *not* to use the software, but decided to keep subscribed on this list. It's much better than in the past were people decided not to use Cocoon for their webapps but they didn't even bother telling us why. I really can't find anything to be sad about: struts (and turbine and others) might be solid and extensively used webapp frameworks and Cocoon forces you to a big paradigm shift compared to JSP. Anyway, it's not proven that Cocoon increases productivity and reduces development and maintenance costs. But I believe that it can be proven (by experience) that Cocooon scales much more the more people you add in the workgroup and the more different skills they have (normally in webapp development, the group is not much and the skills are pretty equal among the people involved). Finally, two things: Cocoon is not 100% elegant for webapps and we are prefectly aware of this, but we are working on it. And, last, it's always a matter of taste and environment: if you find Cocoon useful, use it, if not, well, don't :) But IMHO, the fact that this community keeps on growing is *the* real indication of the health of this project. -- Stefano Mazzocchi One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Friedrich Nietzsche -------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
