I've used it for manual validation of sitemaps, but as soon as it will be finalized we can add it to the entity catalogue and use it for validation in TreeProcessor. Note, that I changed the namespace for sitemap to: http://apache.org/cocoon/sitemap/2.0 (1.0 -> 2.0). So, if you want to try it you should either edit the schema or change the namespace in your sitemap. I am little bit amazed with the amount of feedback. Finalization of the Schema require input from many interested parties. (BTW, thanks to Vadim for his consultations by ICQ).
