Stefano has a strong legacy about URL link deterioration, which, IHHO, is a
bigger menance to the web than anything else. Dying links are a real problem,
and if we as a community are advocating technologies and methods to preserve
all links, this matter should not be taken lightly.

IMHO, not only should the official releases be maintained, but also all files
that have been published, as they may be referenced by other work we have no
clue about.

If the files are moved to a different server, then the URLs should be
redirected, and the redirection to be maintained.

I haven't read the "cocoon.apache.org" thread yet, but I guess there might be
an issue regarding redirecting from the old xml.apache.org to the new server
as well, for all content.

Hard disk space is cheap. I am willing to donate 30GB of dedicated cocoon
storage to be installed on the cocoon.apache.org server, if necessary.
