People, there is NO "average Cocoon user". Please refer to the SoC diagram at

where Management, Logic, Content and Style is separated.
Only Logic is "programming oriented" and this group can possibly also be 
divided into several sub-groups of preference, such as
Java, XSP and XSLT, maybe others such as PHP, Python and Perl as well.
