pete,

I am a long time developer (C/C++, Oracle, Unix, ...), yet fairly new to java
and xml.

I don't know what happened to the Cocoon2 docs on the site, but, I found them
quite useful although
not verbose enough... Fortunately, they came with the distro I have so I can
still refer to them.

I think the one of the best efforts for documentation would be spent
documenting the samples
that come with cocoon - how they work and how they interact with the sitemap
and cocoon.xconf...

I would be willing to help (to increase my own understanding) as one day I
would like to be able to contribute to the codebase...

To answer your specific question, I am starting with database integrations
(pooling) from xconf, actions and pipelines from xmap. I'm not sure what to do
with the other stuff yet... I am also interested in how one pipeline
dynamically feeds another...

Thanks,
Stan
