Which part exactly didn't work for you? There were wrong behavior some
times, but the main idea of that sample was to show how to interact with a
database and I think that the sample is good enough for that.

I am absolutely agree with this part. As I could notice the only non-working
example was JSP part, which I am trying to solve right now. The others
worked anusually fine, including the newest POI samples.

Would you please provide us with your platform details? Particularly, what
server do you use, what is your OS, JDK version, and everything else that
can be relevant.
