Did you activate the account by using `au nu' (newuser)? The auth2
daemon has it's own stuff in /vice/db/auth2.pw. The uid of the new user
should be listed somewhere near the end.
If the uid is listed in there, restart auth2, it might have missed the
fact that the auth2.pw file got updated.
