but the problem is that I cant even authenticate to the au nu with the
admin name that I gave during the vice-setup.
[root@colio db]# au nu
Your Vice name: tholli
Your password:
RPC2_Bind() --> RPC2_NOTAUTHENTICATED (F)
My /vice/db/auth2.pw look like this
[root@colio srv]# more /vice/db/auth2.pw
123 071a120b12161e45 admin user
how should it look like
I am not getting much help from the manuals

Did you activate the account by using `au nu' (newuser)? The auth2
daemon has it's own stuff in /vice/db/auth2.pw. The uid of the new user
should be listed somewhere near the end.
If the uid is listed in there, restart auth2, it might have missed the
fact that the auth2.pw file got updated.
