The ALCTS Technical Services Workflow Efficiency Interest Group (TSWEIG)
presents the following 2017 ALA Annual Program:
Partnering up: libraries and vendors joining forces to improve technical
services workflows

Date and time: Monday, June 26, 2017 from 1:00-2:30 P.M.

Location: McCormick Place, W175c Chicago, Illinois

Libraries must constantly acclimate to the ever-changing needs of their
patrons. Whether it be to improve existing services or create new ones,
libraries will at times be required to work with outside organizations to
accomplish these tasks. An important partner that can help in dealing with
these needs are vendors. Vendors can help libraries in accomplishing the
everyday responsibilities that provide successful outcomes for users. As with
all partnerships there are difficulties that libraries and vendors deal with
when partnering up. Our panel will share their experiences and discuss how best
to accomplish a successful partnership where librarians and vendors joined
forces to improve the workflows for technical services.

Please join us for a lively session. Our panelists are:
