The University of Georgia seeks a Head of Research Data Management to coordinate research data management (RDM) services and support emerging campus wide efforts to improve research data practice. The Head of Research Data Management will report to the Deputy University Librarian and will work closely with a new RDM Advisory Council and will collaborate with other campus units, including EITS (IT) and the Office of the Vice President for Research. This position will provide consulting and instruction regarding the policies, resources, and methods of data management, partnering with researchers, students, and other data management groups to develop a program that is responsive to local needs while informed by current developments in data management policy and technology.
