The Electronic Resources Management Librarian oversees the lifecycle of the 
Broome Library's electronic resources, including licensing, discoverability, 
access & accessibility, administration & support, operating under the 
day-to-day supervision of the Head of Collections & Resource Management. 
This position develops, recommends, implements, & maintains an operational 
management strategy for the Library's electronic resources. This Librarian 
monitors & manages the entire complex life cycles of e-serials, e-books, 
databases, & streaming video, & applies best practices for 
discoverability and accessibility of Library resources to improve electronic 
resource access, usability and accessibility. The position works 
collaboratively with Library faculty & staff, vendors, & campus IT 
Services to ensure seamless, and uninterrupted access to, and discovery of, the 
Library's electronic resources.

Responsibilities:
Creates & maintains policies & best practices related to electronic 
resource management in collaboration with various stakeholder groups including 
students, discipline faculty, academic support services, accessibility support 
services, & others to ensure timely & equitable access to academic 
research collections.Maintains close working relationships with content 
providers, vendors, & campus & CSU partners. Works to ensure adherence 
to license terms for electronic library resources including but not limited to 
database, e-book, & streaming media (facilitating data harvesting, 
clarifying license terms & costs, & developing & sharing usage 
reports) in consultation with Library stakeholders within & outside of the 
library. Provides support to Library faculty & staff & patrons, as 
appropriate, to resolve e-resource access & discovery problems. Provides 
reference & research counseling to students, designs & delivery 
information literacy instruction, & conducts discipline specific subject 
liaison duties with discipline faculty colleagues as assigned. Seeks feedback 
from Library faculty & staff to regularly improve electronic resource 
system functionality. Troubleshoots & identifies solutions for electronic 
resource management workflows & processes Designs & manages workflows 
for loading records, & license management

Coordinates the management of the electronic consortial bibliographic records 
through the CSU Unified Library Management System (Alma/Primo VE), discovery 
(Primo, web), & user authentication platforms (EZproxy), & knowledge 
bases (SFX, Primo) in coordination with faculty & staff who have 
responsibility for Library acquisitions & programming. Serves as the 
library liaison with the Chancellor's Office, Ex Libris, & CSU Library 
groups directly relevant to library electronic resource management matters by 
participating in CSU-wide discussions, working groups & task forces related 
to electronic resource management in the CSU system Monitors relevant 
Chancellor's Office, Ex Libris, & CSU Library group listservs & 
communications to ensure effective communication of changes
& developments relevant to ensuring access to electronic resources. Creates 
resource usage reports for resource allocation, analysis, budget review, 
institutional assessment, accreditation needs, & state & federal 
reporting requirements. Oversees LOCKSS & CLOCKSS e-resource preservation 
systems, in collaboration with the Library Programmer. Identifies emerging 
trends & technologies in e-resource management that have the potential for 
new & improved library service, as for example Open Educational Resources 
(OER). Provides reference & instruction services to a diverse student body. 
Collaborates with librarians & university partners to integrate library 
collections & services across the curriculum. Serves on library & 
university committees & task forces. Pursues scholarship as expected of a 
tenure-track position.
