The irony is I think CN1 would have way more adoption if JS was part of the
pro tier. The whole thing is strangled by needing 4k us a year, which is
lets be honest quite ridiculous (unless you have big corps using it and
that takes SOME convincing, though I have used it for some of the largest
marketing companies in the world and one of the largest oil companies in
the world - but neither were happy when they found out during post release
maintenance, they treated me like I had just conned them badly in some
ways). All of my clients are like oh shit its not free? I know you cannot
make money from giving this out for free, but I thought you have a ton of
pro subs. What might be a nicer business model is giving everyone
everything in pro but charging for making a "release" build. That way we
could work with debug builds until all is perfect, then pay maybe X us per
release build. But then one small change is gonna hurt :) Maybe I am too
poor :)

That said if we download and build it all ourself, everything is free right
? I may just consider my own CN1 server, but surely somehow you wont allow
this ?? Or why wouldnt eveyrone be doing it, and why wouldnt someone set
one up and charge 50% less than you guys? That I assume is illegal. I am
willing to set my own server up (and of course not let anyone else use it)
if that is legal and free and I can keep updating ? Would it give me JS
builds?

Cheers
Gaz.
