Thanks for that Jeff, saves me having to do the prelim.  The site which
appears to basically be the hub of Ruby/G<everything> is
http://ruby-gnome2.sourceforge.jp/, which should give you a fair idea of
what's available.  I see tutorials, API references, and mailing lists, which
should be enough to get you charging down the road of GUI development in no
time.
