[coders] PHP/MySQL scaling help

Hey all! We're having some issues scaling PHP & MySQL to handle large amounts of traffic at <http://www.quicksnapper.com/>. I don't know first-hand what the problem is, but we're likely hitting the MySQL database unnecessarily hard since the MySQL server's load is spiking through the roof right now.
