No tumbleweeds here.. I concur with Brian about what exactly you are
trying to accomplish. FYI, I was informed by Chris/Dave that we're in a
code freeze since we're waiting on Chris Scott to roll in some massive
changes in the repo -- so writing a patch is probably a waste of time
until Chris does his manual merge.
