good lord, ethel, is "progressive" being brought down off the shelf 
and dusted off and readied for recycling ?

in my day the buzzword was "progressive rock", like Yes (gack!) and 
Genesis (the old stuff, before they went totally commercial ... 
curious band ... the more members they lost, the more popular they got ...)
