Currently, ACE more or less implements all REST (and REST-like) endpoints by
hand. When we started, there were no libraries to help us, but now there are
and it probably makes sense to refactor ACE to start using them. This means we
can also leverage existing tooling and make our REST endpoints more accessible.
One set of components to look at are at Amdatu [1] and include self-documenting
code for REST based on Swagger.
