I honestly do not want to spend any of my time on it.
The whole issue is because very bad usage patterns are used wihich we
clearly said are wrong - and is encouraged by the user community chart
My advice for @jensgrnb is:
* build your own image (following our examples/docs)
* test if it is what you expected
* use it in any of the charts
