Review Comment:
   The point of this feature is for cases such as where a user deploys with  
AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID and AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY env vars, but wants to move towards 
a more secure approach.
   
   The long and the short of it: This is useful to help users use AWS in the 
many different ways they want to.
