Just no. You do not get to play the "potential insecure feature". This is categorical more secure as it gives users an option to avoid having to bake key/secret in to connections. Are you suggesting that we don't allow putting aws key id and secret in connections, because that sure as hell is no less secure than this. Avoid discussion? You're kidding right.
